Texas Water Code, Chapter 34, makes it illegal for anyone not registered as
a Licensed Irrigator or exempted therefrom to sell, design, install, repair,
or service a landscape irrigation system or yard sprinkler system. Each day
of violation constitutes a separate offense punishable by an administrative
penalty of not to exceed $2,500 and/or a civil penalty of not to exceed

Connections made to public water supplies without
complying with local regulations are illegal and are subject to prosecution
by local as well as State authorities. Information on this may be obtained
by contacting your local building code enforcement official, or staff of the
agency listed above.
